Smart Antenna Rotators

The Giovannini antenna rotators are designed for medium and very large antenna systems: monobanders for 40 or 80 meters , large HF antennas for 20 -15 -10 m , rotating towers, stacking of antennas… and more.

Torque up to 3800 Nm, all models are supplied with torsionally flexible jaw coupling and square flange. The heavy duty mast clamp is supplied on request. Smart Digital Control Box and Power Box are supplied for computer and remote control via the internet or LAN*.

Giovannini HFW2.02 is the best wire for antennas: Quad, delta loop, dipole, wire beam, long-wire, HF receiving antenna, beverage, wire log-periodic, V beam, rhombic ...

Low loss RF-conductivity. Low weight and low wind load.


HFW2.02 braid wire is built on a stainless steel core with 1.5mm Ø (0.059 Inch). This core is covered with a silver plated copper mesh. Because of the steel core the wire has a very high tensile strength, sufficient to raise long dipoles or beverages very tautly. The silver-plated copper mesh on the outside results in a very good conductivity, good for high currents as they are present at the center of a dipole.

    The D2T is a non-resonant high-impedence antenna, composed of two folded dipoles dephased by 180°. It has a non-inductive terminating resistor and broadband RF transformer fed with a single 50 Ohm cable. The D2T is bi-directional starting from about 10MHz with 10dB F/S. At 21MHz it gains 3dB with 5dB F/B and 10dB F/S, and progressively it reaches 6dB at 30MHz with 5dB F/B and 20dB F/S. At VHF it shows a daisy-type radiation lobe. Up to about 15MHz both the transmitted and received signals are attenuated (see the ‘Yield’ graph).
